Richard Lochhead has been an MSP since 1999, holding Moray for the SNP in a by-election in 2006 following the death of Margaret Ewing, then winning the seat in 2007 with a near 11,000 majority. Two candidates lost their deposits, with the Lib Dems not far ahead of UKIP.
Notes: Given boundary changes since 2007, variations in votes and share between seats with different boundaries would be misleading. We use the Denver figures, essentially a calculation of the 2007 votes cast within 2011 boundaries. More information on this here.
